Noojmowin Teg Health Centre’s Primary Care services are provided by the following:

Nurse Practitioner Services are offered on Manitoulin and in Espanola
Service providers are caring and committed to providing primary health care for individuals of all ages and families living on and off the seven First Nations communities of the Manitoulin Island District and Espanola. Focusing on health rather than illness, the approach of the Primary Care team is to support and promote the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle through sound medical practices and encouraging clients to take ownership of their health in partnership with their providers.
In May of 2018, Noojmowin Teg Health Centre received full accreditation status through the Canadian Centre for Accreditation (CCA) with Primary Care being the primary focus of the external review, concluding that the organization met all 14 mandatory Community-Based Standards as well as meeting all six (6) of the Leading Practice Standards (non-mandatory).

Where do I get a pregnancy test?
- You can make an appointment with your nurse practitioner, or health care provider
- Purchase a pregnancy test at a local pharmacy
- If you are a student, you can visit the school nurse if available
